Immerstellaire is a fulldome lecture-performance by Valentine Auphan exploring humanity’s relationship with meteorites and the emotions inspired by stones that have fallen from the sky. Developed within Valentine Auphan’s research-creation methodology Météart, the work transforms the meteorite from a scientific specimen into a “bridge object” connecting science, imagination and collective experience. Audience members are invited to touch, observe and share a replica of a lunar meteorite, with their actions influencing the surrounding visual and auditory environment.

Scientific materials will also be modified in real time, including observations of thin meteorite sections under polarized light and spatialized sound interpretations of magnetism. The project is part of a Quebec ecosystem bringing together the Planetarium, UQAM, the Society of Art and Technology (SAT), and Lab148. It helps to renew art-science outreach by shifting from transmission to experience, where knowledge is built through action, perception, and encounter.
