Sphericon was officially announced at the annual conference of the German-Speaking Planetarium Society (GdP) in Kiel in late April 2026, by Tobias Wiethoff, Head of Production & Technology at the Bochum Planetarium as part of a talk that introduces the intellectual background of SpherIcon.one and its guiding theme, “The True and the Beautiful.”
